A 7-day safari to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park is a dream experience for wildlife lovers and adventure seekers. These parks, located in Tanzania, are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are famous for their breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife, including the Big Five and the Great Migration.
In this tour we will cover the 5 most popular destinations in Tanzania – Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park. Tour starts and ends at Arusha. With our experienced T- Smart African Tours driver guides, it will be a trip of a lifetime!
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrival: Land at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Rest & Preparation: Relax, enjoy the views of Mount Meru, and prepare for your safari. Overnight Stay in Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire: Depart after breakfast for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2 hours). Famous for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species.
Activities: Game drive and picnic lunch in the park. Overnight Stay: Tarangire (Tarangire Sopa Lodge or a tented camp).
Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Early Departure: Head toward the Serengeti, passing through scenic landscapes. Travel via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for breathtaking views. Reach the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Game Drive: Afternoon game drive to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti
Explore the Serengeti: Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Wildlife Encounters: Depending on the time of year, witness the Great Migration (millions of wildebeest and zebras). Spot elephants, buffalos, crocodiles, and various predators with optional activities such as Sunrise hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti.
Overnight Stay: Serengeti.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning Drive: Enjoy one last game drive in the Serengeti. Transfer to Ngorongoro: Head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional Visit: Stop at a Maasai village for a cultural experience. Overnight Stay: Near the Ngorongoro Crater (such as Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or similar).
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Crater Descent: Drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wildlife haven. Dense population of lions, rhinos, elephants, and flamingos. Stunning landscapes with forests, savannah, and a soda lake. Activities: Full day of game drives with a picnic lunch. Overnight Stay: Karatu or near Lake Manyara.
Day 7: Lake Manyara to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park: Morning game drive in this small but beautiful park. Famous for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and diverse birdlife. Return to Arusha: After lunch, head back to Arusha.
End of Safari: Transfer to the airport or extend your stay with a trip to Zanzibar.
